It's the Braylon Edwards Dancers!

This past weekend was my 5 year old niece's first dance recital. Being her hairstylist and makeup artist, I was there for much of it.

My first time backstage, when I saw these girls dressed in their dance costumes, I knew that I - and by I, I mean our dear Bitter Orange & Brown readers - were in for an off-season, waiting-to-see-if-we-will-even-have-a-season comedy treat.

There were eight dancing Braylons and three much smaller girls wearing orange cheerleader uniforms tapping to The Dog Rap, which I've never heard before and for some reason can't find anywhere online. Too bad - it's kind of catchy.

Obviously, they bought their jerseys dirt cheap somewhere but I found it hilarious and absurd nonetheless that a bunch of teenage girls were dancing in "Edwards #17" jerseys. I mean even "Delhomme #17" would have been pretty awful. (I think he's still on our roster. WHY?)

Despite all the orange and brown, this routine reminded me more of Snoopy than anything having to do with football. Note the dog houses in the back.

The grand finale included the bigger Braylon girls lifting the little cheerleaders.

Fortunately, no one was dropped.

*Sorry for the Zapruder-like iPhone pics. I didn't bring my camera and the phone is usually just fine - the backdrop and action threw everything off.
